Patrick Mahomes asserts that Taylor Swift is Travis Kelce’s fiancée and a style influencer. Travis is NFL’s top tight end.
Mahomes, 28, joked that his Kansas City Chiefs comrade, 34, has grown out his hair due to his superstar fiancée, also 34, during a special town hall on Tuesday, Aug. 13, when he was speaking with SiriusXM NFL Radio (Ch. 88).
“I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it,” Mahomes said about the NFL tight end.
Until his return to training camp in late July, Kelce maintained a buzz cut for the majority of the summer.
Swift is a supporter of Kelce’s new appearance; however, his groomer, Patrick Regan, has previously stated to Fox News that Swift has also expressed admiration for his shortened hairstyle.
“Taylor loves the haircut. She has watched me cut his hair a bunch of times and always compliments it after,” said Regan in February. Kelce has also not been afraid to experiment with his wardrobe.
His mother, Donna Kelce, mentioned on The Martha Stewart Podcast that he has always been a “fashionista” and that his “image” and appearance are “very important” to him, following a series of memorable gameday looks he wore during the previous NFL season.
“But not so much to be perfect,” she said during an appearance on the podcast in May. “It’s more to put a smile on people’s faces. At times, I mean, he’ll dress the way he needs to, but most of the time, he’s doing it to make people laugh or talk. And he loves being at the center of attention, which we all know that.”

“I’m my worst critic. Nobody can tell me how bad I did on a play, I know it right away, as soon as the play got over with. I know what I need to do to get better and everything,” he said while speaking with reporters in July.
“It’s just — you have to have that certain mentality. Always finding ways to get better, even when you have success on a play,” he added.
