Hilary Duff’s spouse came up with a clever way to make up for the fact that she had to miss the Moore celebration picture shoot.
Matthew Koma, the spouse of Hilary Duff, goes to great lengths to ensure that his wife has enduring memories, even if it means editing pictures!
The 36-year-old Lizzie McGuire alumna shared via her Instagram Story on Saturday, August 24, that she attended Mandy Moore’s baby shower but had to leave before any pictures could be taken.
Koma, 37, “knew I was sad I missed the photo,” according to Duff, who posted Moore’s tweet about the incident in her first slide outlining the circumstances.
“So he fixed it,” she wrote over an updated photo in the next slide.
The second slide has an even better version of the original shot, with a young Duff with brilliant blonde hair added onto the end.
Duff annotated the shot on the following slide, stating, “But then he felt sad he missed it,” revealing that Koma had digitally altered himself into the third picture. He is seated on a chair next to the Duff picture that he had inserted. In the original shot, the chair was empty.
But the musician was far from done having fun.
Although Moore’s baby shower seemed to be exclusively for females, Koma also included a shot of the This Is Us alumnus Taylor Goldsmith’s husband, who was sitting in a chair across the room from Koma and seemingly barefoot, in a fourth version of the image. The picture that Moore, 40, first shared online also showed the second chair vacant.
The How I Met Your Father actress stated, “And of course [he] didn’t want [Taylor] to feel left out,” over the edited version of the picture. In the first slide, she showed her love for her friend and tagged Moore in each version of the picture.
In May, Moore revealed that she was expecting her third child with 39-year-old Goldsmith. The expectant child of the couple is a girl. August “Gus” Harrison, age 3, and Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett, age 22 months, are the couple’s kids already.
The “Candy” singer expressed her love for her friends in her original Instagram post about the baby shower on Aug. 24.
“Perfect morning of the best food and even better company. Thanks for making me and baby girl feel so loved and celebrated. 💓💓💓💓💓💓,” Moore wrote in the caption of the post.
Duff is a great resource for tips on becoming a female mom for her pregnant buddy. Townes, the actress from A Cinderella Story, became the mother of her youngest child with Koma in May.
In addition, Duff and her ex-husband Mike Comrie have a 12-year-old son named Luca. The pair also has two daughters, Banks, 5, and Mae, 3.
