Zoe Kravitz and Karl Glusman have decided to end their relationship.
As reported by PEOPLE, the Big Little Lies star filed for divorce from her husband Glusman on December 23, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.
A representative for Kravitz confirms the split with PEOPLE exclusively.
They tied the knot in June 2019 at the Paris residence of Kravitz’s father, Lenny Kravitz, where they were first linked in October 2016 and married in October 2016.
Earlier this summer, the actress commemorated the couple’s wedding anniversary by posting a black-and-white photo from their wedding day on Instagram. “One year,” she wrote as the caption for the photo.

The actor also shared his own tribute to the actress, referring to her as his “best friend.”

Lisa Bonet’s daughter also revealed that Glusman had intended to propose in Paris, but that he ended up proposing in the couple’s living room as a result of a misunderstanding.
“He absolutely nailed it,” she said, noting that she preferred the relaxed manner in which the actor proposed to her. “And I appreciate the fact that there wasn’t some elaborate plan in Paris. “I was at home, in my sweatpants,” she says.

For Zo Kravitz, her divorce was “less about” her ex-husband Karl Glusman and “more about learning how to ask me questions about who I am,” according to ELLE.

The magazine quoted Zo as saying of Glusman, whom she filed for divorce from in January 2021, 18 months after the couple tied the knot: “Karl’s an incredible human being.”
‘It’s really less about him and more about me learning how to ask myself questions about who I am and how to accept that I am still discovering who I am,’ she said. “That’s the journey I’m currently undertaking.”

Following their marriage of one year and a half, Zo filed for divorce from Glusman in August 2021, and the divorce was finalized the following month.
In an interview with Another magazine published in September, the Big Little Lies actress stated that “breakups are sad, but they can also be beautiful things, too.”
Her explanation: “It’s about the bittersweetness of it all, about that beginning and that end.” The space between being heartbroken and mourning the loss of something, and being excited for what’s ahead of you, is “incredibly complex.”
After reaching her 30s, Zo revealed to ELLE that she “never wants(s) to go back” to her 20s, admitting that she was “a mess” at the time.
