This live-action series is going to be produced by a collaboration between Tomorrow Studios, Shueisha, and Netflix.
You may be familiar with Tomorrow Studios as the production company that is also responsible for the upcoming Cowboy Bebop live-action series that will air on Netflix. In addition to that, Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the manga series, has agreed to serve as an executive producer on the adaptation.

The live-action series on Netflix is based on the manga, but the streaming service has not yet made an official synopsis available. Therefore, the story follows the same path.
