No more! Danny Masterson, 47, was sentenced to 30 years in jail for two counts of rape less than two weeks after Bijou Phillips, 43, filed to end her 12-year marriage to him. TMZ says that the divorce papers were filed on September 18 by the happy mother of one.

The next day, Bijou’s lawyer, Peter A. Lauzon, said the following in a statement to the newspaper. “During this sad time, Ms. Phillips has chosen to file for a divorce from her husband. “Her daughter is still her top priority,” the statement said. “This time has been so hard on the marriage and the family that it’s hard to even think about. Mr. Masterson was always there for Ms.

Phillips when things were hard for her. Ms. Phillips agrees with Mr. Masterson that he is a great father to their daughter.

The papers that TMZ got showed that Bijou put “TBD” for the date of their split and the usual “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup. She is allegedly asking her ex-husband for alimony and to pay her lawyer’s fees. Bijou is also asking for her official last name to be changed back to Phillips. She has also asked for “legal and physical custody” of their daughter, but Danny will be able to see her, according to reports.

On each of the two counts of rape he was found guilty of, the former star of “That 70s Show” was recently given a sentence of 15 years to life in prison. On May 31, 2023, Danny was found guilty of the two charges against him. Less than four months later, on Sept. 7, 2023, in Los Angeles, the 47-year-old was officially sentenced to 30 years to life in jail.

At Danny’s punishment, Judge Charlaine Olmedo talked to him directly. “Mr. Masterson, you’re not the one who’s wronged here. “What you did 20 years ago took away the voice and choice of someone else,” Olmedo said. “What you did 20 years ago was wrong, and that’s why you’re in jail now.”

During the whole trial, Danny rejected the charges against him with all his might. In the past few weeks, many famous people have spoken out about his sentence, including actress and former Scientologist Leah Remini.

Danny and the woman who will soon be his ex-wife got married in 2011. Their only child, a girl named Fianna Francis, was born in February 2014. Sources close to the situation told PEOPLE just days before Bijou’s filing that the blonde beauty had “no plans” to end her marriage to Danny.

“Since she was convicted, things have been very hard for her,” the source told the magazine on Sept. 14. “She loves Danny, and she doesn’t want to get a divorce. She will always be by his side.”
