Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman’s married English singer Marieangela King, “Queenie,” of the band KING, on December 1, 2013. She is the sister of British pop duo Blonde Electra’s Jazzy and Ruby King. On April 20, 2020, the couple split up, and Allman filed for divorce the following year.

Despite being married for over 11 years, Allman and King’s relationship has been turbulent for a long time; in 2021, the singer filed for divorce for the first time.

Due to Cher’s attempts to become her son’s conservator, the couple petitioned to have the application dismissed in January 2024, but the judge rejected their plea on a technicality.

In 2023, she applied to be his sole conservator because of his stated mental health problems and substance misuse. Last year, Allman testified in court that he had abstained from illegal narcotics for more than ninety days.

He is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and lyricist of the industrial rock band Deadsy. He has also collaborated with various other artists, including 30 Seconds to Mars and Sugar Ray.

Elijah is the second child of Cher, also having an older half-sibling Chaz Bono. He also has four half-siblings on his father’s side: Devon, Layla, Michael, and Delilah Allman.

Who is Marieangela King?

What led to the divorce of Marieangela King and Elijah Blue Allman?

Just over a year after calling off their breakup, Marieangela King, the wife of Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman, has filed for divorce.

King, 37, filed a petition for a dissolution of marriage with Allman, 48, in Los Angeles on Tuesday, according to court records that Page Six was able to get on Wednesday.

King wants to keep their 2017 Toyota Prius and is requesting $6,000 a month in spousal support after the couple’s March 31 separation.

She asks for an extra $2,000 one-time payment and $500 monthly in spousal support if Allman decides to keep the car. She is also requesting that he pay her legal bills.

What made Cher a part of King and Allman’s romance?

King claimed in a petition in October 2023 that Cher (78) had obstructed her son’s health care, location, and accessibility, causing her to miss several months of seeing Allman.

She said Allman “disappeared” after they decided to maintain their divorce procedures in a “six-month stay in discovery and litigation,” and she had “not seen him in person since.”

King claimed in September 2023 that Cher had hired four guys to abduct her son.

Cher eventually reached a private arrangement after filing for conservatorship.

In December 2023, the renowned singer filed for her son’s conservatorship despite denying the kidnapping claims. Citing his incapacity to properly manage his funds, Cher sought exclusive ownership of Elijah’s estate.

In September 2024, Cher and Allman reached a confidential deal over the conservatorship.

The lawyers for Allman stated, “The team successfully defended Elijah, resulting in Cher voluntarily dismissing her petition.”

Statements From Marieangela King and Elijah Blue Allman

King said the “beautiful 13-year journey” is over.
King planned to be friends with her husband as she reflected on their “beautiful 13-year journey,” which probably covers their marriage and time spent together prior to marriage, in an exclusive statement.

“I know we’ll remain friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart,” she said.

King asked for privacy as they headed toward the next chapter of their lives.

Allman, the son of Cher and her second husband Gregg Allman, was unavailable for comment.

Amid court intrigue, Allman had already requested a divorce dismissal.

In 2021, the 48-year-old Allman initially filed for divorce from King. In January 2024, though, he asked for it to be dropped “without prejudice.”

In February, a judge approved the request. Despite their legal issues with Cher, the pair seemed to have gotten back together at the time of the discharge.

According to Allman’s filing challenging Cher’s request for temporary emergency conservatorship, he and King were “reconciling and cohabitating.”

Notably, King is a German-British singer, and Allman is also a guitarist.
