Will Smith’s Jealousy Over Jada Pinkett and Tupac Close Relationship!

Will Smith hits Chris Rock to defend his wife, but to fully comprehend why he did so requires a trip nearly three decades back in time. The actress had a strong friendship with Tupac Shakur, one of the greatest rappers of all time, before she met the “Fresh Prince.” But, contrary to widespread belief, they were never romantically involved. They had a special bond that made Tupac think he would be in Jada Pinkett Smith’s life until they were both old. Pac wasn’t the romantic type, yet he was nevertheless overprotective of Jada and the men she dated. In his mind, it was an issue if any male got in the way of his friendship with her.

Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. were killed as a result of infighting within the hip-hop culture, which was well underway by the time Jada began dating Will Smith. A tragic East Coast vs. West Coast rivalry that claimed the lives of two of the sport’s all-time greats. Tupac’s problems were so overwhelming that Jada reportedly begged him not to harm Will Smith (he was an East Coast rapper). Pac took it personally, telling his close friends and family that he was hurt by Jada’s request but that he deserved it for leading the infamous thug lifestyle. Because of his inability to control his emotions, Smith was always envious of Tupac’s relationship with the lady who would become his wife.

Smith Confessed His Jealousy of Tupac

We went over this earlier, but in an interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Will Smith admitted his longtime envy of Tupac. Yet he was the one who made things strange by never once approaching the rap legend. Just the opposite. In actuality, Tupac did live the thug life, but it is clear from listening to him speak and reading many of his lyrics that he was a pacifist at heart. The difference is that Pac didn’t mind using profanity in his music, but Will Smith always kept it PG.

Although they were both extremely talented, Pac was the greater wordsmith. Will became one of the most famous people in the world, but he never got to know Tupac on a personal level. Jada felt a deep sense of loss upon hearing of the passing of her childhood friend, the late rapper, in 1996. She married Will Smith a year later, but she never stopped thinking about Tupac.
