Plot Of The Film
Let’s take a plunge into the plot of The Devil All The Time.
The film is based on a novel of the same name written by Donald Ray Pollock. The Devil All the Time is set in rural southern Ohio and West Virginia. It follows a variety of intriguing and peculiar individuals from the conclusion of World War II until the 1960s. Check out a social commentary masterpiece Get Out.
There is Willard Russell, a tortured survivor of the South Pacific massacre, who is powerless to stop his lovely wife Charlotte from dying a painful death from cancer no matter how much blood sacrifice he pours on his “prayer log.” They have a son named Arvin. After Charlotte died, Willard slits his own throat and dies. Orphaned Arvin is now under the wings of his Grandma, Emma.
Emma also adopted Lenora, an orphaned girl. Arvin grew up to become a good person and is extremely devoted to his family. He uses violence to protect his family. Rev. Preston Teagardin seduces young girls, and ultimately gets Lenora pregnant. Lenora took her own life.
Arvin kills Preston. There is the husband-and-wife serial killer team of Carl and Sandy Henderson, who scour America’s roads looking for appropriate models to kill and photograph. Netflix Halloween Collection gets another category of Slashers and Serial Killers.

Ryan Lattanzio of IndieWire gave The Devil All the Time a “C−” and termed it “colossal misfire, a sweaty mess from start to finish”, but he praised Holland and Pattinson’s performances.
