Plot of the Curse of the Bridge Hollow
The plot of the film revolves around a family of 3 who recently moved to a small town of Bridge Hollow. The father-daughter relations are a bit strained due to the baby being adventurous and a ghost believer, and the dad being logical and Halloween hater. Syd enrolled at a local school, meets the Paranormal Society of the school.
The town celebrates Halloween with great pomp and show. Syd rebelled against her father by dressing as a witch and decorating the house with lanterns she found in the storage room. The lanterns are cursed and when lit the curse spreads to the entire town. The lanterns were discovered by Syd in a treasure chest in the storage room of their house. Soon the town’s scary decorations and things come to life. The inhabitants are fighting for survival and it is revealed that the curse demands a human sacrifice. Howard, Syd and her friends started the search for the person who has the incantation to chain back the curse. Finally they banish the curse.
Along this spooky episode of their lives, Howard confided in Syd why he hates Halloween. Syd helps Howard to resolve his fear of skeletons, and the two reconcile. The statue of Stingy Jack is possessed by the spirit and tries to hurt Emily. Howard reads the incantation, banishing the curse and soon after this, all the Halloween decorations become inanimate again.
