As many of you know the PD stands for the Police Department. Voight has been hand-picked to lead this squad, and he is the one who has created a squad of eclectic investigators. His squad’s investigators embrace his enthusiasm and dedication towards keeping the city secure.

Det. Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) is a much more level-headed and “by the book” law enforcement officer than his contemporaries. While Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) is a brash young detective who initially saw actual military service duty in the Middle East.

Halstead’s associate Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) is an erstwhile “bad girl” who changed her life with Voight’s help. And Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) is an experienced undercover investigator.

Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) is a flamboyant patrol officer with a lively community interacter, and Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is a patrol officer who aspires to one day join the prestigious Intelligence Unit, are also members of the unit. Sheldon Jin (Archie Kao) seems to be the technology whiz in chief of spying and technology operations.

Jason Beghe portrays Intelligence team Sergeant Hank Voight, while Jon Seda plays Detective Antonio Dawson. Tania Raymonde, Kelly Blatz, Scott Eastwood, and Melissa Sagemiller were previously chosen.

Nevertheless, as the programme progressed through pre-production, the casting crew began changing.

Is Chicago P.D. Intelligence Unit Real?

When Does Chicago PD Return

CPD has actually got an intelligence unit, but it is nothing like what you see on TV.

They do not really perform proactive, dynamic crimes. Instead they collect intelligence about crime and unlawful businesses, investigate, and collaborate with the state attorney general’s office to convict the terrible ones.

The true intelligence unit also isn’t situated alongside patrols in an old district headquarters.

Instead, these are situated, along with many other centralised divisions, in the very vintage Sears offices/warehouses on the city’s western edge known as Homan Square.

Why Did Melissa Sagemiller Leave Chicago PD?

Melissa Sagemiller has left NBC’s Chicago Fire spin-off, which itself is slated to debut in the midseason. Sagemiller’s role, CPD Detective Willhite, initially appears in the finale episode of Season 1 (called the premiere of Chicago PD).

“I quit because, what I’ve learned is I’ve been so programmed to be a good girl and to be a workhorse and be a tugboat that I have always prioritized tugging the ship for the crew, for the show, for the group, ahead of my own health,” the activist stated.

In the television series Chicago P.D., Henry “Hank” Voight is a fictitious character. As the chief of the Chicago Police Department’s Intelligence Unit, which works out of the 21st District, he featured as a recurrent character in Chicago Fire and as a prominent character in Chicago P.D.

Why Was Jon Seda Fired From Chicago PD?

When Does Chicago PD Return

The retirement of Jon Seda, who played Detective Antonio Dawson on NBC’s popular series Chicago P.D., is arguably the most painful of the series’ many casting changes. Seda captured the hearts of many fans who had been following his character’s growth on this One Chicago serial for six seasons.

The news of his departure came as a surprise to his admirers, who were left wondering why he had quit the programme.

When asked about his resignation from the Chicago Police Department, Seda remained composed, referring to his six-year service as Detective Dawson as “an honour.” Although he didn’t appear to have any regrets about quitting the show, it’s a shame he left just after the producers put in a painkiller addiction relapse for his character.

Chicago PD Reviews

When Does Chicago PD Return

The Chicago PD cops keep up the spirit trying to combat the city’s most egregious offences done by outrageous criminal gangs. These gangs are involved in offensive crimes, narcotics trafficking, high-profile slayings, and much more.

That gives a good thrill and will power of achievement of every tough task.

Frequent and violent violence: gun fights and shootings with blood, death, and gore; shots of severed limbs and dead bodies; people are constantly put in danger and forced into peril. This is the very reason for the 13G underrating of the series.

This is a fantastic television show. I rather like how they perform the transitions between Chicago Fire and Chicago Med. The performance in this is excellent, and I appreciate how genuine the presentation and acting are. It’s difficult to like Hank Voight at first, but as the show progresses, you’ll fall in love with his character.

This show has a lot of romanticism, which makes you go insane as you get to know the characters. I thank the actors, actresses, and writers since we would not have a nice television show if it weren’t for them. This is a binge-worthy series.

Is Chicago PD Cancelled For 2021?

As for the Chicago PD season 8 finale, most of the episode revolved around Officer Kim Burgess, who almost died and eventually was rushed into surgery. We also got an unexpected proposal, and fans are waiting on the edge of their seats to see whether or not Halstead and Upton get engaged and married.

Thankfully, we can affirm to you that Chicago PD has not been cancelled, and that it has been renewed for seasons 8, 9, and 10 in 2020. With a series franchise this popular, it is no surprise that all three One Chicago shows were renewed for multiple seasons, but with broadcast television, you can never be too confident.
