American television personality, singer, model, and businesswoman Tyra Banks has a fortune of $90 million. Even though Banks began her career as a fashion model, she has built a fortune in the entertainment industry.

Banks was born on December 4, 1973, in the California city of Inglewood. Despite the fact that she was still in high school, she began her modelling career. She was rejected by four different modelling agencies before obtaining a contract with L.A. Models, which was her last choice. She made history by becoming the first African-American model to appear on the covers of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue and GQ magazine, which premiered in 1997 and 1996, respectively, and became the first African-American model to appear on the covers of both publications.

Banks’s success as a model provided her with the option to branch out and resulted in a slew of appearances on television. Her first television performance was as Will Smith’s old friend Jackie Ames on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire, where she had a total of seven appearances. She has since gone on to have a successful acting career.

It was in John Singleton’s play Higher Learning that she made her feature film debut, which was in 1994. A doll named Eve who comes to life was the subject of her 2000 Disney film Life-Size, in which she co-starred with Lindsay Lohan.
