Republican National Convention: Trump threatens to move the event from North Carolina

Trump’s Views

The event I’m going to talk about is yet to take place in North Carolina from the 24th of august to the 27th.

However, on Monday, Donald Trump said that he would move the site of the convention if absolute attendance is not guaranteed for some reason.

Almost 1 lakh people have lost their lives to the deadly coronavirus in the US.

A few States have been ordered to reopen and kickstart their economies, even though death poll keeps rising with each passing day.

What Kickstarts

President Trump posted a series of tweets on Monday and said that North Carolina;s Democrat Governor Roy Cooper was still in the shutdown mood.

He was unable to guarantee that the event would conquer the hearts of people and would guarantee full attendance.

In other words, he said that he would be spending millions of dollars building an arena to a very high standard.

But all of this without knowing if the democrat governor would allow the Republican Party to fully occupy the space? Doesn’t sound like a good deal.

A spokesman for Governor Cooper said North Carolina was still relying on data and science to protect their state’s public health and safety.

And honesty, I think every state should follow the protocols put up by the scientists and health care facilitators.

Where Does It Lead To

Vice President Mike Pence said that what the President says is a very reasonable request of the governor of North Carolina.

He continued saying that they all want to be in Charlotte for they love North Carolina.

But then, having a sense now is utterly necessary because of all the extravagant preparations that are involved.

He went on to say that he looks forward to working with Governor Cooper and getting a decent response.

And if the need arises, they’d move the national convention to another state with confidence.
