Trump looks out of touch now, but it's too early to say he's doomed in November
The Pretext
Trump has been seen to be lagging behind Joe Biden in recent polls.
I'm pretty certain he'd absolutely not accept the fact that he could get much fewer votes.
He'd probably vent it all out on administration and how the calculations have been leading to a farce? *shrugs*
Though it is still 141 days from the November 3 election, the polls of the moment look grim for Trump.
He continues to struggle with female voters, given his entire history of misogyny and uncanny comments about women.
And Trump's self-inflicted errors in the weeks since George Floyd's death has been even more fatal.
Right from the administration's clearing of Lafayette Square for Trump's bible-wielding photo-op, everything has been a mess.
Situation
However, Trump had proved in 2016 that he is smarter than most people think about electoral strategy.
In interviews with both Republican and Democratic strategists this past week there was near unanimity that no one can predict how an issue like racial injustice will play out in November.
This is especially when American lives and livelihoods are on the line at the time of a pandemic as well as economic disparity.
Procession
The President has been condemned for shooing off protestors using techniques as crude as ever.
He has also been blamed for calling on governors to dominate demonstrators in the streets.
Here's one good news for Trump, Republicans are going to be far more tolerant of police reforms than Democrats will be in terms of embracing the cops.
Why? Because of the sole idea that they're not the enemy.
And this has been apparently told by a Republican himself.
