TikTok Denies It Could Be Used To Track US Citizens!

TikTok has denied a report that a China- grounded platoon at its parent company ByteDance planned to use the app to track the locales of US citizens.

 The social media mammoth said on Twitter that it has noway been used to” target” the American government, activists, public numbers or intelligencers.

The Establishment Also Says It Doesn’t Collect Precise Position Data From US Druggies.

 It was responding to a report in Forbes that data would have been penetrated without druggies’ knowledge or concurrence.

The US business magazine, which cited documents it had seen, reported that ByteDance had started a monitoring design to probe misconduct by current and former workers.

 It said the design, which was run by a Beijing- grounded platoon, had planned to collect position data from a US citizen on at least two occasions.

The report said it was unclear whether American citizens’ data was ever collected but there had been a plan to gain position data from US druggies’ bias.
