Booth just revealed that she and her spouse Taylor Mock are expecting a second child, Tatum, who is 20 months old, to join them.
The way Tia Booth revealed her pregnancy to her spouse Taylor Mock didn’t go as planned.
The 33-year-old former Bachelor in Paradise actress had a Q&A session on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, August 25, for those who were interested in learning more about the specifics of her recently revealed pregnancy.
In response to a fan asking how she told Mock the “exciting news” of her pregnancy, Booth disclosed that things didn’t go according to plan.
“I was trying to keep it a secret so I could surprise him and he found the test wrapper in the trash when he went to cut his toenails hahaha,” she wrote.
The reality TV actress taped her open bathroom trash can with a pregnancy test wrapper sitting exactly at the top in a humorous incident captured on camera. She then took out the test itself to show Mock that a small “positive” line had formed.
“I think that’s a false positive,” Mock said in the clip as Booth laughed.
After being married in November 2023, the couple had a 20-month-old baby named Tatum. On Thursday, August 22, they made their joint pregnancy announcement on Instagram. This is their second child together.
“BIG BROTHER TATUM 🥹🥹,” the couple captioned the video, set to the song “Everything We Need” by Wilfred.
Booth responded to a few additional fan inquiries on Sunday, including one concerning the sex of her unborn child. She said that the pair intended to wait until the child was born to find out.
“We are not finding out this time,” she explained in a video. “That was my idea. I just wanted to do that. This is our second kid and I wanna do it at least once.”
“Taylor does not like that,” she added. “He wants to know so I’m trying to not let him peer pressure me into finding out. We’ve done the genetic testing — I just didn’t open the email. I’m just waiting for my OB to let me know … the results for everything.”
Booth went on to say that the only thing that worries her is that the anatomy scan will reveal the baby’s sex.
“I’m worried I’ll see the parts and know,” she explained. “But we’re excited to hopefully wait and find out.”
Booth mentioned in another section of her Instagram Q&A that she and Mock are still debating whether or not to name their future child anything that starts with the letter “T.”
“Taylor thinks that we absolutely cannot leave this kid out,” she said of the naming process in a video. “He thinks that this kid is gonna feel left out. I feel like when they’re older, they will appreciate that they’re a little different.”
