This Hotly Debated Sneaker Just Received the Kardashian Seal of Approval

The Margiela Tabi had a fantastic year the previous year. The split-toe sneaker shot to fame after a TikTok user was conned by a thieving date, making it the hottest shoe in the world (according to the Lyst Q3 Index).

Once considered an unconventional shoe option, these sneakers have managed to maintain their contentious reputation despite endorsements from celebrities such as Olivia Rodrigo and Dua Lipa. How Does the Net Worth of the Kardashian-Jenner Family Stand as of 2024?

However, the Tabis have now received formal Kardashian approval. Kim Kardashian wore a pair of split-toe heels designed by Christian Louboutin and Maison Margiela, which are made of black velvet, at the Parisian fashion house’s spring 2024 couture show.

Kardashian accessorized with a large choker that encased her entire neck in a metallic, jeweled cast, and wore the shoes with a black maxi dress with cutouts and pompoms.

She went to the performance with her mother, Kris Jenner, who dressed in an interpretation of her go-to suit ensemble, which included black leather gloves, a black overcoat with a white ruffled sleeve, and a white button-down shirt. Jenner tried on some Tabis as well; she settled on a pair of patent leather loafers with the distinctive hoof-shaped toes.

Kim is not the first Kar-Jenner family member to sport the highly sought-after sneakers. Kylie Jenner wore a pair of rhinestone-encrusted Tabis to the brand’s January 2023 couture show. She teamed them with a seafoam tiny slip dress and a blue tulle coat.

The youngest Jenner, who was also present at the event this year, teamed her thin tulle gloves to a skintight, short-sleeved midi dress covered in gray paillettes. However, she declined to wear the Tabis this time, choosing instead to wear a pair of white heels—likely another result of Margiela’s partnership with Louboutin.

Although there are undoubtedly some people who dislike the shoes, Kim Kardashian is adamantly in favor of Tabis.
