According to insiders who spoke with People, the couple is becoming increasingly “protective” of their expanding family as they approach closer to the expected arrival of their first child together.

It seems like Justin and Hailey Bieber are obsessed with having a baby, baby, baby.
After making the announcement in May that they are expecting their first child together, the pair, who had their first wedding in 2018 (and then again in a fairytale wedding a year later), have been spending quality time together as a couple as they are getting ready to become parents.
“They’re ready to become parents. They’re planning for the baby’s arrival and it’s very cute,” a Justin source tells PEOPLE exclusively. “They are super committed to their marriage, but also to being the best parents possible.”
This past week, Hailey Baldwin, who is the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and graphic artist Kennya Deodato Baldwin, made headlines when she disclosed in a cover story for W Magazine that she does not presently have a “super close” relationship with her family.
The Rhode founder, 27, said she had “very fond, beautiful memories” of her upbringing but is “very independent” now.
Sources claim Hailey passionately protects her growing family and that Justin, 30, feels protected in their relationship. Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey were present at the Leafs vs. Sens game in the Battle of Ontario, and comedian Will Arnett was also there.
“The music industry is a cutthroat world and it’s difficult to trust people. He’s had major trust issues and thinks everyone wants something from him,” says another Justin insider. “He has a small circle of friends.”
“Hailey has always been very supportive of Justin. She’s his rock. She is patient and someone he can always lean on.”
A friend of the pair said Hailey is “very solid,” despite her renowned last name. “She’s grounded Justin. She always desired her own identity, but her family is who they are.”
Creating her own path, especially during a high-profile marriage, “hasn’t been easy,” adds the friend. “She’s found her calling and works hard. They’ll be hands-on parents.”
She also advises her husband on professional choices. “She’s very involved and helps him make decisions,” claims another Bieber source.
Justin and Hailey have openly discussed their mental health issues, and insiders believe their Christian religion has helped them through tough times. “They’re very religious and lean on their faith,” adds an industry insider.
An informant said the Biebers are “very close” to Churchome senior pastor Judah Smith, who has led them. “Justin and Hailey are really involved in their church community,” adds the insider.
Now, after facing a number of unanticipated obstacles, such as Hailey’s terrifying mini-stroke in 2022, which was followed shortly after by Justin’s diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome and consequent tour cancelation in the same year.
The pair is ready for the next chapter in their relationship. An anonymous person close to Justin has stated that “They will be great parents.”
