After a turbulent summer, numerous Islanders gathered to tell which couples are still together and which girl had a “back seat” in Andrea Carmona’s villa departure.

Many Islanders from the newest Peacock dating series, including finalists Serena Page, Kordell Beckham, Leah Kateb, Miguel Harichi, JaNa Craig, Kenny Rodriguez, Nicole Jacky, and Kendall Washington, attended the reunion, hosted by Vanderpump Rules actress Ariana Madix. Islanders Aaron Evans, Kaylor Martin, Rob Rausch, Olivia Walker, Andrea Carmona, Connor Newsum, Daniela Noelle Ortiz-Rivera, and others attended.

After the July finale, fans were left wondering which girls (Page, Kateb, Martin, or Walker) voted to send Carmona home earlier in the season. Kateb subsequently claimed she had a “back seat” in the decision, but Martin and Walker disagreed.

The Islanders and fans got their response at the reunion. The raw, unedited footage of the girl’s talk about their decision—something fans have been pushing producers for since the dramatic dumping—showed who said what.

“I didn’t say I took a back seat. I said I was trying to [take a back seat] — key fucking work,” Kateb clarified after watching the footage. “I never said I took a full-on backseat.”

Walker also apologized to Kateb for the misunderstanding and challenged Rausch for leaving “try” out when he asked her in the villa to clarify Kateb’s participation in the dumping decision.

“I’m not blaming you guys for it,” Rausch added. “From my perspective, the girls had their POV, they went with their logic, and it was just different from the guys. It was just a different decision.”

The reunion also revealed which couples were still together weeks after the finale, and to viewers’ astonishment, all of the fan-favorite duos had taken their relationships to the next level. Page and Kordell (season six champions), Kateb and Harichi, and Craig and Rodriguez are dating.

Despite fan rumors, Washington and Jacky, who placed fourth, acknowledged their relationship. After the finale, Jacky claimed Washington failed to communicate about a private film of his that was released online.

“It was not OK, like nobody deserves that,” Jacky said in a heated moment at the reunion. “However, I think if you say you love somebody, in the moment, when you’re telling me about something, you need to be honest instead of saying it’s [the leaked video] from years ago with someone you trusted, an ex-girlfriend.

And then I found out two days later from JaNa that it was in the hotel room before you go on the show to someone on a dating app is crazy.”

Washington apologized and said he was attempting to “give her some space” to handle the problem quietly. Jacky said he “only checks on me when it’s like relevant for you.” However, other Islanders soon supported Washington and reiterated his love for her.

Evans and Martin also experienced turmoil in the mansion and outdoors. Evans cheated on Martin and dated Noelle Ortiz-Rivera in Casa Amor, compromising their relationship. They were sent home with Rausch and Kassy Castillo in the final dumping days before the finals.

Martin said during the reunion that they are no longer together after appearing on podcasts together outside the villa. After rewatching some of this season’s critical episodes, she felt Evans wasn’t being honest about his conduct and split.

“I’m tired of the fucking excuses,” Martin yelled at the reunion. “Take accountability and be a fucking man. I just saw you the last three fucking days in New York and you haven’t said that to me once. Why would you do that? Why do you keep fucking lying to me? And quit while bombing me. I cannot believe I wasted my entire fucking summer on you, Aaron. I don’t want anything to do with you.”

One of the most dramatic and successful seasons of Love Island USA was season six, which ended with Page and Beckham winning. Fans swarmed social media after each episode to discuss the startling dumps, surprise bombshells, and tragic moments, making it the summer’s must-watch reality program.
