What Is Met Gala About?

Also called the Met Ball, the Met Gala is the most important event in the fashion world. It is held for the fundraising for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, New York.

The event is in a way an opening of the annual fashion exhibit by the Institute. Every year, many of the most popular celebrities in the world attend this event.

The Met Gala 2020 is scheduled on May 4th, 2020. Like every year, it will be held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

Chairing the event will be Meryl Streep, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emma Stone, Anna Wintour, and Nicholas Ghesquiere.

The theme of this social event is “About Time: Fashion and Duration”. Being inspired by the 1992 movie “Orlando”, the theme follows the journey of fashion from the 1880s to 2020: 40 years of fashion.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as we all know, have requested to retire from the Royal lifestyle. Following that request, the couple will be officially released from all Royal duties on March 31st.
