The Nice Guys is an American action comedy movie which is directed and co-written by Shane Black along with Anthony Bagarozzi. The movie is set in 1977 in Los Angeles and it focuses on a private eye and a tough enforcer and they both team up for investigating the disappearance of a teenage girl.
The Nice Guys movie was premiered on 11th of May, 2016 in Hollywood and screened on 15th of May 2016 at the Cannes Film Festival and it was released by Warner Bros. Pictures in the United States on 20th of May 2016.
The movie has gained positive reviews from critics for it’s humour, performances of Crowe and Gosling and mystery. The Nice Guys has grossed around $62 million against it’s $50 million production budget.

What is the Plot of the Nice Guys?
In Los Angeles, in 1977, down on his luck private eye Holland March is hired by porn star Misty Mountain’s aunt Mrs. Glenn and is claiming to have seen Misty still alive even after her death. Holland’s investigation leads him to Amelia Kuthner who is an associate of Misty and pays violent enforcer Jackson Healy to scare Holland away.
Then Healy is interrogated by two thugs Blueface which is named after he sets off a dye pack while in hunt of Healy’s apartment and also an older guy about Amelia.

What Are the Reviews for the Nice Guys?
The review aggregator rotten tomatoes gave an approval rating of 91% which is based on 322 reviews and an average score of 8 out of 10. The website states that –
“The Nice Guys hearkens back to the buddy comedies of a bygone era while adding something extra, courtesy of a knowing script, and the irresistible chemistry of its leads.”
Chicago Sun-Times’ Richard Roeper gave 3 stars out 4 and and said that –
, “Forget about Kevin Hart and Ice Cube in Ride Along 2, or Zac Efron and Robert De Niro in Dirty Grandpa, or Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in Zoolander 2. Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling are the funniest duo of the year so far in The Nice Guys”
James Berardinelli described the film as reminiscent of Boogie Nights. Berardinelli wrote, “The Nice Guys is a refreshingly adult movie entering a marketplace saturated by teen-friendly superhero flicks and animated family fare. It’s edgy (although not so edgy that it will turn off a mass market audience), funny, and fast-paced”, and he gave a score of 3 out of 4.
