The Last Kingdom is a British fiction television series. John Lunn is the composer of the series. Furthermore, it is based on Bernard Cornwell’s  The Saxon Stories series of novels. To date, The Last Kingdom has had three seasons.

The first season released on 22nd October 2015 on BBC Two and BBC America. The fourth season is the latest upcoming season. Moreover, Netflix has the broadcasting rights of The Last Kingdom Season 4.

Despite the coronavirus outbreak, the production house did not want to delay the release date of The Last Kingdom Season 4. Also, they don’t like to keep their fans waiting. As promised there will be no changes with the release date and the show will officially drop on Netflix on 26th April 2020.

The previous cast will be seen again in season 4. Alexander Dreymon will be back as Uhtred Of Bebbanburg. Furthermore, Ian Hart as Father Beocca, Mark Rowley as Finan, and Arnas Fedaravicius as Sihtric will be part of the season 4’s cast.

We will see many characters from the previous season to again be part of season 4. The director said that all the actors have become well versed in their roles and delivering it exceptionally.

Therefore, the production house wants to continue with the same cast with only minor changes and additions. The plot of season 4 will follow the seventh and eighth novels in the Saxon Stories series. They are The Pagon Lord and The Empty Throne.
