As she was discussing her daughter Eva Amurri’s recent wedding to Ian Hock, the Thelma & Louise actress, who is 77 years old, made the statement to Entertainment Tonight that she has not completely given up on the possibility of falling in love.
“I’m open to love,” Sarandon told the outlet. “On every level, absolutely. I wouldn’t say I’m looking for a guy to share my medicine cabinet, but I love an adventurer.”
“I’d love to, you know, [find] anybody that’s still curious and passionate, you know?” the star added while speaking at the New York City premiere of her new movie The Fabulous Fouron Thursday, July 18.
During the years 1967 to 1979, Sarandon was married to her ex-husband, Chris Sarandon, who is now 81 years old. Between the years 1988 and 2009, she was also in a relationship with Tim Robbins, who is now 64 years old. Together, they had two sons: Miles, who is 32 years old, and John “Jack” Henry, who is 35 years old.
On Saturday, June 29, Sarandon’s daughter Eva, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Franco Amurri, 65, sealed the knot with Hock in a small ceremony that took place in New York City.
“A fabulous wedding,” Sarandon had to say about Eva, who is 39 years old and was previously married to Kyle Martino, who is 43 years old, from 2011 until 2020.
“This was her second wedding and I think it’s kind of fabulous to get married after you already have kids because they were participating and they were so happy about it,” Sarandon added.
“It was very small and very intentional and very sweet,” she continued of the nuptials.
When asked about her romantic life in 2021, Sarandon, who has previously dated Louis Malle and Jonathan Bricklin, stated, “I would like to have a travel companion, male or female — age doesn’t matter.” Sarandon has also dated Jonathan Bricklin.
“But I would like to find someone who’s up for an adventure kind of attitude,” she added at the time. “And also, who cares about something passionately and who loves what they do, whatever that is.”
“I guess my point is I’m pretty open, but I don’t know,” the Oscar winner said.
She continued by saying, “I’m pretty happy making memories with my kids,” while she was speaking during the COVID-19 epidemic.
Sarandon continued by saying, “I don’t know what happened in terms of a romantic relationship.” “That window may have closed, but I’m forever hopeful — but not desperate.”
