In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak that has disrupted the normal life of everyone, Disney has made an effort to provide entertainment for watchers by preponing the date of the release its 2019 opera film, Star Wars- Rise of Skywalker.

The ninth episode of the Skywalker Saga, Rise of Skywalker, ranks as the most expensive film ever made. It has an estimated budget of $275 million.

The movie is the third of the Star Wars trilogy, set after The Last Jedi of 2017. J.J. Abrams has directed it.

The Plotline Of The Movie

The Rise of Skywalker follows the final installment of the Skywalker Saga. It tells the story of the last revolt of the Resistance in opposition of the First Order. The rebellion is led by Finn, Rey, and Poe Dameron. The three, in the movie, have the support of Palpatine, the emperor of the Galaxy, who had supposedly died.

At the end of the film, the people of the Resistance are successful in defeating the First Order.

Daisy Ridley is seen as Rey in the film, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Issac as Poe Dameron, Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine, and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren.

Disney Releasing The Rise Of Skywalker Early

Disney had scheduled the release of the final Star Wars movie on the Digital stores on March 17th, 2020.

But keeping in mind the ongoing dullness in the watchers’ lives, Disney decided to prepone the release date four days. It released the movie on March 13th instead.

Rise of Skywalker is now available for purchase on several digital stores such as Amazon, Google Play, Apple TV, Vudu, and FandangoNow. The price of it in ultra HD is about $25.

Rise of Skywalker is not the only movie being released earlier than expected by Disney. In addition to it, Disney also released Frozen II on Disney+ three months earlier than the set dates.

Disney declares that the movie has themes of family values and perseverance, which are essential in the time of a global crisis, such as the one we’re facing right now.

Whether it’s a strategy to gain profit or an act of generosity, the fans are grateful.
