Star Trek: Picard is a web series that belongs to the Star Trek franchise. Michael Chabon Akiva Goldsman, Kirsten Beyer and Alex Kurtzman are the creators of the series.
Patrick Stewart has the position of an Executive Producer on the show. He also leads it as Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
Star Trek: Picard debuted on the CBS on January 23rd, 2020. The first season consists of a total number of ten episodes.

Star Trek: Picard Plotline
The events take place around the time when the 24th century is about to end. It takes us 20 years after Commander Data has died.
Jean-Luc Picard, who was very close to Data, keeps seeing him in his dreams. He tries to decipher what it may mean and fails. However, one day, a mysterious woman approaches him. The woman is Dahj, Data’s daughter.
The Romulans, who believe that androids are a threat to their existence, are pursuing Dahj. Despite his attempts, Picard fails to protect her. It’s only after Dahj’s death that he learns about her twin, Soji. Picard is determined to protect the twin who is alive at all costs. It’s the least he can do honour his friend.

Star Trek: Picard Season 2
CBS confirmed the renewal for a second season before the first one launched. They were THAT certain of its success.
The production team has also hinted on a third season, but let’s not get our hopes high, and focus on season 2 for now.
Air Date
Star Trek: Picard season 1 released this January. Aren’t we expecting an air date too soon?
We have no word on the shooting of the second season. And even if it did begin, the ongoing crisis is bound to have interrupted any development.
Considering the facts, it’d be crazy to expect the second season to air this year. We will have to wait at least till mid-2021 for the show to air.

Cast Members
All the central characters of the season one will return for the second one.
A confirmed addition to the cast is of Whoopi Goldberg. She will assume the character of Guinan is season 2.
Terry Matalas will overtake Chabon as the showrunner of season 2.
Plot Predictions
It’s difficult to say where the storyline might lead from the finale of season 1.
The second season will take place in the 25th century. Show-runners have talked about focusing more on each character’s background more. We will see the journey of their evolution into what they’ve become.
