Sonya Eddy, the prominent American actress died on December 19, 2022. She was ill and was in a condition where it became difficult to stabilize her position. She was of the age 55 when she died. The sad and sorrowful news was shared by her friend and business partner Tyler Ford while sharing some words in a statement to USA Today.

What is the Cause of the Death of Sonya Eddy?
The famous Soap Opera star Sonya Eddy who was renowned for her role in General Hospital died at the age of 55 in the hospital. She was ill and was admitted to the hospital on December 9 but later got released on December 11.
But on December 15, she got severely ill and was diagnosed with an uncontrollable infection. Eddy underwent a non-emergency surgery but it proved to be of no use and she died later that night.

“It is with the heaviest heart that I have to announce the sudden passing of my business partner, creative soulmate, and best friend Sonya Eddy. She left an indelible imprint in every person that she touched, through the screen and off,” Ford said, adding that memory contributions can be made to The Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association Inc.
He further added, “Eddy died due to an uncontrollable infection (after) a scheduled, non-emergency surgery at a hospital in Burbank, California.”
