Shrinking Season 2 Episode 2 Recap
Opening of Season 2 Episode 2 of Shrinking features Jimmy wanting to come clean about the visit of the driver to Alice. However, since Alice is taking a test for her driver’s license, they resolve to discuss it later.
At work, as Jimmy and Gaby flirt, Paul intends to have sex with his “favorite” patient, who has been avoiding him for so long. It is really sad because, in morals, he cannot be friends with his clients, yet he has to pay attention to his reputation.
While Gaby, Brian, and Liz were hiking, Brian was astonished when he heard that everyone knew it, but they just didn’t believe it. This finally ended when Brian responded violently.
Much later on, Alice sat for her driving test and passed it, and Jimmy informed her about the visit of the driver, which Alice liked very much. Liz informs Sean that there is an opportunity to interview, to which Sean is reluctant because he does not like to talk about his life as a soldier.
He runs it by Paul, who simply tells him to consider the worst possible thing that can happen if he talks with Liz. Sean does not make full use of this concept and feels like a little goose instead.
Gaby begins thinking of the time she went out with Tia. Meanwhile, Jimmy has come. Gaby tells Jimmy that they should stop seeing each other again.
At home, Alice discusses the subject of the driver with her friend Summer by explaining to her that the driver will be visiting her father’s house. Summer thinks Alice should write a letter to the driver. Summer likes Connor, so Alice introduces them, hoping it might help Connor stop being so focused on her.
Sean is then frustrated with Liz, as if she will be over the moon about her interview. Sean even managed to get Paul’s personal number through Jimmy and sent him a long text message. The first time that Jimmy went to Paul’s house, Julie was still present.
Paul opens up to his husband and confesses that he has hurt Sean because he has made him so dependent on other people. When Jimmy told Sean that he had Paul’s personal number, the conversation continued where Jimmy chided Paul for being so strict on boundaries. At this point in the conversation, Paul calls Sean and asks him to practice the technique he taught him.
Back home, Jimmy finds Alice writing a letter to the driver, so he goes over to support her. In the meantime, Gaby is trying to deal with issues in her family, and Jimmy finds himself witnessing the tension in the office. Finally, Sean tries Paul’s technique of imagining a funny conversation with Liz; however, it alarms him.
Sean then tells Liz that he does not want to do the interview, and Liz accepts the decision regardless. After seeing Sean’s progress, he calls Jimmy Paul and tells him that he was right. Elsewhere, Paul meets his old client Ray, and it seems that a new friendship is beginning between them.
Later, Jimmy comes to Gaby’s house to help her with her family problems, but Gaby figures that this was not it. She asks him why came over here, and although he knows that she is in love with him, an argument arises, and Gaby tells him to leave. That’s the end of episode when Alice sits on the hood of the car while gazing at the driver’s house.
