Taylor Swift is a trooper, not at all an anti-hero.
Despite fresh video showing the celebrity singer coughing badly while performing live at her Eras Tour stop in Singapore, the show must go on for her.
The 34-year-old was seen in a TikTok video frequently cleaning her throat and coughing while performing her hit song Delicate for her adoring fans at the city’s National Stadium, which can accommodate 55,000 people.
“I hope she’s doing well. The TikTok user captioned the video, saying, “She’s been coughing.”
Taylor Swift is making Singapore a lot of money, and some of Singapore’s neighbors don’t like it
One admirer commented on the video, saying, “I was there and so worried about Taylor,” and another said, “Oh she needs some rest.”
One person wrote, “I can only imagine how exhausting it must be while on tour giving it with every performance,” while another said, “I bet it has more to do with the drastic weather changes in different regions.”
Swift, fortunately, has two days off before returning to the stage for three more sold-out, consecutive gigs in Singapore on March 7, 8, and 9.
It seems that a single, stringent rule has been put in place to make sure Swift stays healthy throughout her extensive world tour, which will see her perform 152 gigs on five continents.
It was stated that fan meet-and-greets were off the table during the most recent Australian leg of her enormous tour in order to reduce her exposure to possible infections.
Strict protocols are implemented to prevent Taylor from connecting with anyone outside of her “bubble” while she is on tour. Under no circumstances can they risk her being ill,” a source said.
“Even her managers and dancers, who are part of her bubble, have limitations on their downtime activities and where they can go.”
In fact, Swift’s publicist Tree Paine—who speaks with the artist on a daily basis—was spotted at the Melbourne Cricket Ground last month during her performance. Paine was dressed in a face mask.
The insider continued, “A world tour may sound exciting, but in actuality, every day just consists of going from a hotel room to the venue and repeat.”

During her earlier tours, the singer was well-known for doing fan meet-and-greets; however, following Covid, her management decided to “permanently axe these as they pose too much risk.”
Swift’s schedule for the remainder of the tour is expected to be disrupted and she may lose millions of dollars if she were to cancel even one event while on tour.
