At Wimbledon, Serena Williams is aiming for a record-equaling 24th Grand Slam victory:
Serena Williams is about to make tennis history at the same time as her best friend is embarking on a new chapter in her personal life by becoming a mother. Even though she is 40 years old, she has declared that she would compete in the Wimbledon tournament this year in an effort to win a Grand Slam championship. Her comeback to the Wimbledon competition, where she was sidelined with a hamstring injury a year ago, is being signalled by the fact that she was granted a wild card earlier today.
She will play doubles in the Eastbourne event alongside the Tunisian tennis great Ons Jabeur before she competes on the grass courts of Wimbledon. Wimbledon is the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. The legendary tennis player from the United States might use this as ideal practise for the upcoming Grand Slam competition, in which she is attempting to tie Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam victories.
