Selena Gomez Reunites at the AFI Awards Luncheon Honoring Only Murders in the Building with Her “Guys,” Martin Short and Steve Martin

At the AFI Awards Luncheon held on Friday at the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, Selena Gomez, Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Meryl Streep got back together to honor their successful series as well as other shows and films that are generating discussion this awards season.

Gomez, 31, looked stunning in a Versace belt and black pinstriped suit on the red carpet. She expressed after the occasion how much it means to her to collaborate with actors who have achieved Hollywood icon status.

“This woman has not only been my idol but such a wonderful person to me,” Gomez captioned a picture of herself posing with Streep, 74, on the red carpet.

Going on, Gomez wrote in her post, “I feel so blessed to know you, Meryl,” taking aim at the star of The Devil Wears Prada. “Thank you for always making me feel seen and heard.”

Gomez also tweeted a photo of the seasoned actress grinning up at the younger actress while sporting a lilac version of a power suit for the occasion. She included a purple heart and the happy tears emoji in the photo’s description.

The “Single Soon” singer additionally shared a picture of herself in between Martin, 78, and Short, 73. “My guys,” she added, paying a touching homage to her on-screen crime-solving partners.

Gomez also tweeted a snap of herself posing with Oppenheimer actor Emily Blunt. She commented, “We shall not speak lol,” next to the picture, which showed the two ladies covering their mouths.
