It may be officially springtime, and with it a cheery pastel color scheme. But that doesn’t mean we have to completely give up on black— Selena Gomez hasn’t. Indeed, she looked positively cheery in that inky tint yesterday when she stepped out in New York City.
The “Love On” singer served up another sophisticated Parisian-chic attire and once again promoted the coquette trend, suggesting that her recent trip to France is having a lasting impact. She wore a timeless black midi dress for the outing, complete with long sleeves, an off-the-shoulder design, and large satin bows all over.

The dress had a pencil skirt. With translucent tights, glossy, strappy, pointed-toe shoes, and a small velvet clutch bag with yellow-gold clasp, she kept the look monochrome.
Gomez added plenty of diamonds with stacks of shimmering rings and enormous stud earrings, but she opted not to wear a necklace so that her imaginative neckline could take center stage. She went for a sophisticated side-parted, slicked-back bun for glam, and her chestnut locks were styled with a soft brown smoky eye, fluttery eyelashes, rosy cheeks, and a muted-red lip.
The creator of Rare Beauty donned the sophisticated look to back her co-star Steve Martin from Only Murders in the Building at the launch of his brand-new documentary, Steve! (Martin): Two Part Documentary.
Gomez also took to her Instagram account to express her admiration for Martin, sharing a movie poster slide along with the statement, “It pains me to know how many people may not know truly about Steve’s life.” He tried and never gave up, making him a true idol. You are very amazing, my good friend @stevemartinreally.
Throughout last month, the Monte Carlo actor channeled the city of love multiple times. She once looked stunning in a long-sleeved black lace mock-neck shirt layered over a matching camisole and tucked into a voluminous pleated bubble skirt.

She accessorized the ensemble with sheer black tights, a broad leather belt, and Stuart Weitzman pointed-toe stiletto boots. She cut another stunning figure as she strolled around the city wearing a leather coat, sparkling kitten heels with bows, and a black minidress cinched with matching tights.
