It’s finally here, Selenators. Selena Gomez officially revealed her first musical endeavor of 2024 on Thursday, February 15. The song is called “Love On,” which is a fitting title to offer the day after Valentine’s Day.
The 31-year-old pop artist revealed the information to her fans on Instagram, informing them that the song will be released on Thursday, February 22. She appeared to be referencing a line from the song when she posted the announcement, saying, “Wait ’til I turn my love on.” “Presave my new song, ‘Love On,’ which drops on 2.22.”
The singer-actress also revealed the cover art for the song, which shows Gomez leaning against an opulent window frame while wearing a white bathrobe, sunglasses, and a hair towel. Miles beyond her, the azure ocean opens up outside.
The photo has a vintage vibe to it because the song’s title is written in loopy red script.
Gomez’s first release since her August comeback single, “Single Soon,” produced by Benny Blanco, is “Love On.” When the song first appeared, it peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.
It is anticipated that the Only Murders in the Building star’s third album, which is due out later this year, will feature both “Single Soon” and “Love On.” Gomez has already stated that she is working on her next album, which may be her final one. She made a suggestion in January that she would give up singing soon, saying, “I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting.”
