On Friday, the music singers officially revealed their long-rumored partnership.

The much-rumored partnership between Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars has finally materialized after days of tease. Bruno withdraws silk sonic from Grammy award.

The international pop artists released a new duet, “Die with a Smile,” and a music video with a retro vibe on Friday, August 16. Mars plays the guitar and sings the first lines of the video. Later, when the camera pans out, Lady Gaga is shown smoking a cigarette while seated at a piano.

The pair, dressed identically in red and denim, performs impeccable harmonies with the band playing in the background. The intimate setting is occasionally heightened by flashing lights, and at one point, Gaga stands up from behind the piano to dance.

Only hours prior to its release, Gaga, 38, and Mars, 38, verified their partnership on social media by sharing the single’s cover artwork, which depicts the two individuals in identical red and blue rodeo attire.

“WHILE YOU WAIT TILL LG7…’DIE WITH A SMILE’ a duet with @brunomars ❤️‍🔥,” the “Bad Romance” singer captioned an Instagram post on Thursday, referring to her forthcoming seventh studio album.

Gaga shared a teaser clip of her playing a slow piano medley on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, while wearing a shirt featuring Mars’ visage. The duo appeared to be dropping clues about their composition. The latter then exacerbated allegations by quoting the singer’s post with the wide-eyes emoticon.

The next day, the “Uptown Funk” hitmaker reciprocated by sharing a photo of himself gesturing to a skull-head graphic tee with her name.

Mars and Gaga’s debut collaboration is “Die with a Smile.” However, they collaborated on a live medley of their tracks at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris in 2016, where they were joined by The Weeknd. The pair’s latest single is their first new release in some time, but independently.

Mars has not released a solo album since 2016’s 24K Magic. Nevertheless, he did collaborate with Anderson.Paak in 2021 to create the Grammy-winning group Silk Sonic and release a single album, An Evening with Silk Sonic.

Conversely, Gaga has not published a new solo album since 2020’s Chromatica, which served as the inspiration for her 2022 tour, which was subsequently documented earlier this year. Nevertheless, she did collaborate with the late, legendary vocalist Tony Bennett for their 2021 jazz album, Love for Sale, prior to his passing in July 2023.

But her solo music drought may soon be over, as the “Poker Face” singer has been hinting at LG7 for weeks now. First, she posted photos of herself in front of a studio microphone on Instagram in mid-July and captioned them, “Just me in the studio—happy as ever making music 🖤🕶️💋🎶.”

“Feel so grateful, heart is peaceful. It’s like meditation,” she added. “I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on.”

after her performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games on July 26, the 13-time Grammy winner astonished supporters in Paris with snippets of songs from her upcoming album, according to Billboard.

“I’m so deeply touched by my French fans this week outside the hotel. I’m gonna come out and say goodbye tonight with a few seconds of #LG7,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories before going outside to play the new music.

Last month, a source stated that Gaga has been “never happier” about the music she has been recording recently, and that she is feeling the most creative she has ever been.
