The actress Sandra Bullock is “doing okay” as she hits a significant birthday milestone after going through a challenging time in her life.
The Academy Award–winning actress, who will turn 60 on July 26, still she still looks like 38. She made the announcement that Bryan Randall, her partner since 2015, had passed away at the age of 57 following a three-year struggle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It has been nearly a year since the announcement.
The news of Randall’s passing came around a year and a half after Bullock made a public statement stating that she wanted “to take a pause” from her profession in order to spend time with her family, which included her two daughters, who are now 11 and 14 years old.
“She’s doing okay now. Her kids are amazing. She’s very happy to be a mom,” a source close to Bullock’s friend Jennifer Aniston, 55, tells PEOPLE.
“Her friends gave her the support that she needed both during his illness and afterwards. She is grateful for all the love,” the source adds. “Everyone helped to lift her up after Bryan passed.”
At the time of Randall’s passing, Bullock’s most recent leading parts were in the films Bullet Train and The Lost City, both of which she also produced. Both of these films were released in 2022 (the year Randall passed away). During an interview in the year 2022, she stated that she was aware that the film she was working on, The Lost City, would be her final film for a considerable amount of time.

She has not yet made an appearance on the big screen in the period that has passed, despite the fact that Bullock has lately hinted that she intends to return to the big screen in the near future.
