Established as a website and mobile app, Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ has launched a new manga series on their platform.
Written by Akira Amano, the new manga is Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deduction. It’s a mystery based manga series that follows unique detective Ron Kamonohashi and the naive police inspector Totomaru Isshiki.
After 8 years of absence, Amano marks his return with Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deduction in the manga world. Her manga portfolio includes popular anime such as Reborn! Series, elDLIVE manga.
Now, let’s take a look at some of her best works:
Amano’s Previous Manga Series
Reborn! Series
In 2004, Amano’s Reborn manga was released in the renowned Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2004.
After a successful run of 8 years, the manga series finally concluded in 2012. However, before that, the manga series was adapted as a television anime series & this too ran for almost 5 years from 2006-10.
Later, Viz media & Crunchyroll acquired the rights to stream the anime series outside of Japan. Out of 42 Volume manga series, Viz Media released 16 of them in North America.
In September & October 2018, it’s Blu-Ray disc were licensed and released by Discotek Media. Since the introduction of reborn! The Manga series has inspired multiple stage plays & the 4th stage play is all set for November 2020.
elDLIVE Series
Before introducing Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in 2014, there was its predecessor app Jump Live.
And on that platform, Amano released his elDLIVE manga in August 2013. After the discontinuation, the manga series was switched to their new platform Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+.
November 4, 2018, marked the ending of this epic tail of Chūta Kokonose. And on February 2019, Shueisha published it’s 11th & final volume in the manga series.
When the manga series was released, Viz media had only digital rights to publish this manga series in English. Later, Viz Media started publishing the manga series in both digital & physical format.
Looking at the immense popularity, the elDLIVE manga series was adapted to the elDLIVE television anime series & its first episode was aired on January 8, 2017. After 12 episodes, the anime series was concluded on March 26, 2017.
As for the streaming rights, Crunchyroll provides all 12 episodes with English Subtitles, whereas Funimation provides all the episodes in English Dub.
