Does Rihanna ever let you down? The singer of “We Found Love” traveled to the City of Love earlier this month for Couture Week, when she unveiled a number of jaw-dropping looks, including leather YSL draperies and moiré Dior jackets.
The Fenty creator wore two really warm outerwear-inspired ensembles this past weekend that made us want to spend the rest of winter curled up by a fireplace. Rihanna Returns with a Dior Couture Look
She first appeared in public wearing a black bespoke Saint Laurent dress with a smooth strip of cloth down the center and tightly ruched sections extending from it. Rihanna complemented the outfit with an oval-cut diamond choker from Messika and a velvet saddlebag from Dior, and she wore a mesh strapless bra from her lingerie line, Savage X Fenty.
The most stunning item of all was probably her vintage Vivienne Westwood coat, which was part of the designer’s Fall/Winter 1992 collection. It was a statement piece made of velvet with a fur collar and dramatic sleeves.
Shortly after, Rihanna was photographed strolling around the city with her partner A$AP Rocky and their two kids, Riot and RZA. For this outing, she casually wore another vintage item.
The singer of “Diamonds” opted for a wine-colored bodycon dress from John Galliano’s Fall/Winter 1999 collection this time. The large sweatshirt and collar of the knitted and crocheted lace viscose and nylon dress matched the fabric of the cuffs and the skirt’s hem.
Wearing tortoiseshell Gucci sunglasses with ruby lenses and a crystal GG logo design across the length of the frames, Rihanna accessorized the ensemble. She finished the look with a warm brown fur coat and strappy Tom Ford padlock pumps with golden heels embroidered with crocs.
