Photography has become one of the most important forms of art since the 20th century at least. To those who are passionate about photography, the importance of going outside is indescribable. Not that you can’t find inspiration indoors…
Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the world is in a state of lockdown. Most of the world anyway. Most countries have initiated quarantine in order to tackle the spread of this virus. This has made life difficult for many people and photographers are one of them.
Unable to go out, a small group of street photographers have found the perfect location for photography. What makes it special is that they don’t have to go out. Thanks to a brilliantly designed game, photography can be practiced inside your homes!(provided you have a good gaming setup or a console)

The location Red Dead Redemption
A small group of street photographers have found a perfect location in the virtual streets, cities, and forests of brilliantly designed games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Uncharted and Grand Theft Auto.
This has become a trend on Instagram among curious photographers. The locations are perfectly design and are beautiful. These are enough for most photographers to get inspire.
“A few of us had the idea of hanging out in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 when we suddenly remembered that the game gives you a camera, so we started taking shots of landscapes,” says Sean Tucker, a photographer from the UK. “Before long, we were riding to Saint Denis [a fictional city in Red Dead Redemption] to shoot street, like we would on any normal day.”
This has inspired a lot of other gamer/photographers to take part in such activities. After all, these streets are so well designed and beautiful and realistic. Well done, Rockstar! You can check them out on Instagram under the #virtualstreetphotography hashtag.
