Raising Kanan Season 2: Will It Ever Going to Happen?
While waiting for more Power Book III: Raising Kanan or Rising Kanan Season 2. The prequel focusing on Kanan Stark, Starz has kept us occupied with lots of Power content. But that doesn't lessen our eagerness for its comeback.
Kanan's ascension before his horrific death in Power is chronicled in the 1990s-set series. Kanan is only 15 years old when he joins his family's criminal enterprise. Further pushing him to mature quickly and become the man he aspires to be. The program has been filming Rising Kanan Season 2 since before the first was completed. But there appears to be a slight delay in bringing it to the air.

With his destiny as a killer written in stone, viewers are left to ponder how he got there. Raising Kanan explains how. But now that the first season is done, what's next for the youngster? Here's all we know so far about the newest member of the Power family.
When Can We Anticipate the Power: Raising Kanan Season 2?
Yes! In fact, the crew felt so confident in the series that Rising Kanan Season 2 was announced in July 2021. It was done more than a week before the first season debuted. By the end of the month, the cast was revealed that they were already filming the new episodes. Which will undoubtedly help speed up the releasing process.
“One season isn't enough to convey the coming of age narrative of Kanan Stark and his mother, Raq. A feisty and powerful lady who is a force of nature,” Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch explained. “The global demand for additional Power Universe content made it evident that the Kanan narrative needed to be continued.”

Unfortunately, that's all we know for now; we can expect to see the next series sometime in 2022. With all of the other novels in the franchise due for new chapters, Raising Kanan will probably be released around the same time as season one, which ran from July to September. Power: Raising Kanan Season 2 Cast: Are There Any Newcomers?
It has been revealed that Mekai Curtis will reprise her role as Kenan. While Patina Miller will continue to play Raquel. Lou-Lou (Malcolm Mays), Marvin (London Brown), and Jukebox (Hailey Kilgore) are all back in business. Rounding up the family. Omar Epps, who survived the incident, will also return as Detective Howard. Joey Bada$, who portrays Unique, Toby Sandeman, who plays Symphony Bosket. Shannon Burke's Shanley Caswell, and Shawn ‘Famous' Figueroa's Antonio Ortiz are all likely to return.
There are also a handful of confirmed new cast members. This includes the following:
Krystal from Hamilton Renée Timmons, Marvin's anger management therapist. He is played by Joy Brown.
NOS4A2's Paulina Vocalist – Zisa, an aspiring singer. Further hoping to establish a name for herself with Lou-Lou and Crown's (Quincy Brown) record company.
Omar Dorsey – Cartier ‘Duns' Fareed, a flamboyant businessman. He wants to develop his firm, is Queen Sugar's, Omar Dorsey.
Sistas KJ Smith – Palomar, one of Famous's new neighbors and a young mother. She is usually mistaken for Corinne's elder sister.
Grammy winner LeToya Luckett – Kenya, Jukebox's mother. And Marvin's ex who left the family to pursue a career in show business in Los Angeles. She now resides in Harlem and is an active churchgoer.
What Will Happen in Power: Raising Kanan Season 2?
Raising Kanan Season 2 will start following Kanan's attempted murder of Detective Malcolm Howard's estranged father. The teenage drug dealer shot the officer and left him for dead. But we learned in the final episode of season one that Malcolm survived the gunshot and is now awake.
Raquel, his mother, wishes to frame Unique for the crime. Despite the fact that he has already been detained. Will the detective agree to the idea to safeguard his son? Meanwhile, Kanan is hiding away in Maryland. But his ties to the gang in South Jamaica, New York are profound. And he's currently unaware that the officer he murdered is his father.

Raising Kanan: Power Book Iii' Kanan and His Family Face “a Lot of Tough Stuff” in Season 2
Kanan (Mekai Curtis) departed town to hide after the shooting of Detective Malcolm Howard (Omar Epps). In the most recent episode of Power Book III: Raising Kanan, the latter is secretly his biological father. He and Symphony Bosket were last spotted crossing the state boundary into Maryland (Toby Sandeman).
Curtis told Entertainment Weekly that the show's upcoming season would focus on the fallout from those events”. It's simply the continuance of acts and consequences,” he explained. “Something will happen, and you'll be able to watch how it molds and forms Kanan, as well as what it does to his mind.”
