It has been quite a while since the first season of Pop Team Epic premiered back in 2018. The show that parodies other movies and shows, met with a lot of positive reactions from the audience. In fact, the manga it is based on began serialization back in 2014 and it was a huge success. The absurd and dark humour of the show made it stand out from the others. But what about a Pop Team Epic season 2? Is it ever going to happen? It has already been more than 3 years and we still don’t have a date on anything. So what could we be looking at? Pop Team Epic: About the Show
Pop Team Epic is a show centered around two 14 year old girls, by the names of Popuko and Pipimi. Popuko and Pipimi can turn even the most boring of events into amazing ones. The show follows their absurd adventures through what one may see as mundane events.
Pop Team Epic is a satirical series edging on absurdism and stupidity to make sense of its events. It is a parody of other popular animes and movies and makes it mark based off of that. Another interesting characteristic of the show is the way it manages to find different voice actors for each episode of the show, adding to the absurdity and surrealism.
The show revolves around Popuko and Pipimi. Popuko is the cute short tempered girl who gets angry at the smallest of things. Her weapon is the nail embedded club which she uses to slay her enemies. She seems to have a soft spot for Pipimi. Pipimi, on the other hand, with her sparkling blue eyes and splendid blue hair, is the opposite of Popuko. She is cute, level headed and has an assertive nature which can take a fiery streak should something happen to Popuko. Overall, the two are pretty opposite characters and complement each other.

Pop Team Epic Season 2: When Does It Come Out
The first season of the show had considerable success with the audiences which leads us to believe that the show deserves a second season for sure.
The show, over the years, has had a number of spinoffs and specials were aired too, by the studio Kamikaze Douglas productions. So it is safe to say that the show has been a priority for the producers. The quality of the content has also been maintained so far. Yet it has been three years and there has been no announcement for a second season of the show. We reckon that Pop Team Epic Season 2 is something that is definitely on the producers minds, given the success of the show. However, when the show will be announced, remains to be seen.
It has been 3 years since season of the show and with each passing year chances of a renewal of the show become bleaker. However, fans shouldn’t lose hop as 2021 isn’t over yet. We expect that the producers might make an announcement for season 2 of the show later this year. If they don’t, then chances are slim that there will ever be a Pop Team Epic season 2 at all. And that is just the way it is. In the end, it is up to the producers whether they want to bring about another season of the show. However, at this point, not a lot can be said. It is a waiting game, at least till the later part of this year.

Pop Team Epic Season 2: How to Watch
As the season 2 of the show has not been released, there is no way to currently watch the show.
However, for those of you who haven’t heard of the show, you may catch season 1 of the show on Netflix.
The show currently holds a rating of 7.28 on MyAnimeList, our preferred website for all things anime, and a rating 6.9 on IMDB.
