Born on June 13, 1926, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, Paul Lunde was a renowned American Comedian. He emerged as a game show panelist and actor too. He was the son of Sylvia Bell Lynde and Hoy Corydon Lynde. His parents used to own and run a meat market. He had 5 siblings and lost his favorite Cordaon in the Battle of the Bulge in World War 2.
In 1944, He completed his graduation from Mount Vernon High School. Thereafter he took admission to Northwestern University in Evanston and learned speech and drama. There he actively performed in school theatrical productions and also became a member of the fraternity Phi Kappa Sigma and completed his graduation in 1948.
In 1965, he debuted with the show Bewitched and was in great demand at that time. He performed in many sitcoms that include The Phil Silvers Show, The Farmer’s Daughter, The Patty Duke Show, The Munsters, The Flying Nun, and more.
He was also featured in films like Send Me No Flowers and The Glass Bottom Boat. In the 1960s he made several appearances on NBC’s The Perry Como Show.
Paul Lynde was accused of high alcohol intake and had several cases against him that led to his frequent arrests. His behavior became rude and cruel when he was drunk and due to it he disrespected his friends several times.
His addiction to alcohol involved him in an incident of the death of his friend a young actor who died in his unstable condition caused by high alcohol intake.
The sources also stated that once he made some racist remarks to black NU professor James P. Pitts that he later condemned his tiredness and inebriation.
What Happened to Paul Lynde?
The popular game show panelist and American comedian Paul Lynde was found dead in his house on January 10, 1982.
The night before his death, he had to attend a birthday celebration party which he did not join and this concerned his dear friend Paul Barresi. They called him but it was of no result.
Unanswered calls from their close friend troubled their mind and they went on to meet him in his house in Beverly Hills, California, which they found to be locked.
They broke into the house from the side entrance and found Lynde dead in his bed. He was of age 55 at that time.

What is the Cause of the Death of Paul Lynde?
The reason behind the death of Paul Lynde was unclear in the beginning. When his friends broke into his house, they found him lying dead on his bed.
The rumors spread that he was naked at the time of his death but this hearsay was later disapproved by his friends. They stated that he was in his pajamas and bathrobe when they spotted him.
One more hearsay was circulated at the time of his death, that he was visited by someone at that time but that mysterious person fled away from the scene. This tittle-tattle also proved wrong because he had a house alarm activated in his house which honked when his friend Barresi broke in….that implies the rumor to be false.
After the autopsy and a proper investigation, the Coroner stated that Paul died of a heart attack.
His casket was laid down at Amity Cemetry, in Amity, Knox County, Ohio. The rest of his family members including his siblings are also laid to rest near his cremation.
