Outlander Season 6: New Things to Expect from the Next Season, Release Date, and Cast

Adding essence to dreams of fans all over, the Outlander is on the way for its 6th entry. Starz confirmed the show's another come back on May 9, 2018. Viewer's favorite Claire and Jamie will be back with more of their new challenges and adventures. It will continue the story of Frasers as they settle in the new world. The Outlander 6 is a Starz show and can be watched through Amazon Prime.

The 6th season will also have 12 episodes like in the Outlander season 5. However, they both are one less in episodes that in Season 4. The cast of the next season will be pretty much same as season 5.

Casting In Outlander 6

All the cast may be there in the new season other than Duncan Lacroix. He will not return cause the death of his character. His character Murtagh Fraser got killed in a Pre-revolutionary War battle. The cast list of Outlander includes:

    • Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser
    • Sophie Skelton as Brianna Randall Fraser
    • Richard Rankin as Roger Wakefield
    • Tobias Menzies as Frank Randall
    • Cesar Domboy as Fergus
    • Graham McTavish as Dougal MacKenzie
    • Lauren Lyle as Marsali
    • Grant O'Rourke as Robert MacKenzie. etc.

Lacroix was cast for six seasons but it changed out into the death of his character. Creators let him know that before start filming the season.

The fifth season of Outlander premiered in February 2020. It already sums up that it will last until 2021 at the very earliest. The exact dates are yet to be known by official announcements from the producers.
