The previous chapter 1085 of One Piece continued the storyline from the point where the last chapter ended, with Imu continuing his conversation with Cobra Nefertari. Imu discloses that the people in the present era who have the initials “D.” are unaware of its true significance.
Imu also reveals that the scattering of the Poneglyphs was not accidental but a voluntary act. In addition to this, it is revealed that Lily Nefertari, who was also a “D.,” had planned all this to happen.
As the anxiety rises, the Gorosei, the highest authority in the World Government, draw their pistols, and Imu seems to attack Cobra. Sabo, who had been secretly spying, swiftly jumps into action, attempting to take down both Imu and the Gorosei at once.
However, to his surprise, they all transform into monstrous forms, that sacred Sabo and led him to flee while carrying Cobra. In his last moments, Cobra asks Sabo to inform Luffy and Vivi that his family also carries the “D.” initial.
