At their performance on Tuesday, April 2, Olivia Rodrigo gave Chappell Roan a kiss, a fitting farewell after her last opening performance on the Guts World Tour.
As has been customary at her Guts concerts, the 21-year-old pop sensation visited fans gathering behind the barricade near the stage toward the end of her second performance at Boston’s TD Garden. But this time, the singer of “Casual” was already there and ready.

Since the tour began in Palm Springs, California, in February, the “Red Wine Supernova” singer has been a part of it, teasing fans all around the United States and Canada with performances of songs from her 2023 album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Now that Roan has handed up the reins, The Breeders will take turns opening tours with Remi Wolf and Pinkpantheress.
Rodrigo is currently traveling to New York City for a four-night engagement at Madison Square Garden beginning on Friday (April 5) after her performances in Boston. The former star of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is currently on her first-ever arena tour, where she is singing songs from her two albums, Guts (2023) and Sour (2021), which both peaked at number one on the Billboard 200.
