This evening, the rap icon became into a flower sculpture thanks to an avant-garde creation by Francesco Risso of Marni.
Minaj’s Met Gala ensemble elevated the subject to a whole new level and offered an artistic interpretation of the sculptural floral motifs that Marni initially unveiled in its spring 2024 collection. The star’s unique hourglass minidress was decorated with 3D metal flowers that were hand-painted in a variety of vibrant hues.
The dress was made of golden silk duchesse material. Her shoes, matching glittering gems, gave her the appearance of a chic bouquet.

When it comes to rocking the style at the Met Gala, Minaj is an expert. She attended the event for the eighth time this evening, and throughout the years, she has consistently added drama and theatricality to the red carpet.
For example, the diva wore a vampy black ballgown by Burberry’s Riccardo Tisci at the 2022 Met Gala; the dress was adorned with feathers and contrasted with a formal baseball cap. She dressed lively in a pink and fluffy Prabal Gurung design for the 2019 “Camp” theme.
Once again, Minaj pulled off an unexpected reveal tonight, and for that, she most certainly deserves the flowers.
