The comedy-drama, directed by Robert Schwartzman, stars Nick Jonas as writer Renn Wheeland, who returns to his birthplace of Cleveland after years of evading his sister Leigh (Brittany Snow), father Darren (Matt Walsh), and stepfather Rick (David Arquette).
He is approached by a winsome stranger named Zoey (Alexandra Shipp), who motivates him to address his enduring familial and internal conflicts.
On August 13, Jonas, Snow, Walsh, Arquette, and Shipp, along with Schwartzman and costar Elisabeth Shue, arrived at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, California, to commemorate the film’s North American release.
A post-screening Q&A with Schwartzman, Jonas, and host Kiernan Shipka was featured in The Good Half, which had a limited theatrical release on July 23. The film was shown in theaters for two evenings.
