Netflix is collaborating with the UN Women to glorify women through media on International Women’s Day.

“Because She Watched” is a collection of documentaries and shows and movies that is curated by 55 women in the entertainment industry.

“This collaboration is about taking on the challenge of telling women’s stories and showing women in all their diversity. It’s about making visible the invisible, and providing that only by fully representing and including women on screen, behind-the-camera, and in our narratives overall, society will truly flourish”.

The deputy executive director of UN Women makes this statement in regards to “Because She Watched”.

Who Are The Curators For “Because She Watched”?

Netflix’s “Because She Watched” consists of suggestions by 55 women.

We have Lana Condor, who is also the narrator of the show.

Other than that we have Ava DuVernay, Millie Bobby Brown, Laurie Nunn, Janet Mock, Petra Costa, Salma Hayek.

Other notable members who take part in creating “Because She Watched” are Sophia Loren, Yalitza Aparicio and various others.
