Netflix Is A Joke is a comedy festival taking place in Los Angeles this year. It’s one of a kind festival that will bring together comedians from across the globe to the stage. Netflix’s chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, says that the festival is a “unique celebration of comedy and art.”

He also says that the festival will help us honour the role comedy plays in our lives. It will provide comedy lovers with the opportunity to witness their favourite artists in one place and at the same time, discover new ones.

The week-long festival will be filled with events, and the closing night will be a monumental one for the entertainment industry. On the closing night, Netflix will inaugurate the Comedian Hall of Fame to honour the legends of the industry. Some artists that will be honoured include Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Joan Rivers and Robin Williams.

The comedy festival will feature artists from all over the world. A lot of Latin American and Indian artists are going to participate in the events. Therefore, the artist list is already huge at this point. David Chapelle and Ali Wong, along with Schumer, are headlining the festival.

The festival will go one for a week from April 27 to May 3, 2020. During the week, there will be more than 100 events set across 20 venues in Los Angeles. The events will also take place around the general Hollywood area, The Largo, Hollywood Bowl and the Greek Theatre.
