Produced by Walt Disney Pictures for the streaming platform of Disney+, Mulan is an upcoming action movie. The film is a live-action remake of the animated movie of the same title that was released by Disney 1998.

Mulan loosely takes after the traditional Chinese folklore of the ballad of Mulan. The movie is directed by Niki Caro.

What Is The Storyline Of The Movie?

The plot of the movie is apparently set in China. As China realises a potential threat from the enemy Huns, The Emperor must take severe action in the face of it. It is declared throughout the country that a man from every household of the country must step up to serve to protect the kingdom by joining the Imperial Chinese Army.

Hua Zhou is an old war veteran of the kingdom, who is now suffering from weak health but is expected to return to his position in the Army. In order to stop her frail father from rejoining, young Hua Mulan decides to take his place in the Army.

But Mulan is a girl, and wouldn’t be allowed in the Army. Mulan tackles the problem at hand by disguising herself as a boy and changing her name to Hua Jun.

Who Are In The Cast Of The Movie?

Liu Yifei stars in the film as Mulan. The younger version of Mulan has been played by Crystal Rao. Tzi Ma plays Hua Zhou, Mulan’s father. Donnie Yen plays Commander Tung, a leader in the Army and Mulan’s mentor.

Other actors in the movie include Jason Scott, Yoson An, Jet Li, Gong Li, Rosalind Chao, Ron Yuan, Jimmy Wong, Chen Tang, Nelson Lee, Cheng Pei-Pei.
