“ Get Out ” actor Lakeith Stanfield has apologized after posting a clip of himself rapping a freestyle with homophobic lyrics.
The clip, named “ obnoxious freestyle, ” was posted a many days agone; the lyrics in question included the expressions “ that’s some gay s — ” and “ f- g, I do n’t really like to vapor, but I ’m straight, rich. ”
“ I apologize if I hurt anybody, unfeignedly, ” Stanfield said in a mugged reason posted to social media Tuesday. “ That was n’t my intention — to be notoriety that was out then just slinging arrows and hurting people, so I want them to know that I apologize that they had to feel sadness from that. So my sincerest justifications. ”
Stanfield explained that he adopts different characters for his raps — “ some effects my views are aligned with and some effects my views are n’t aligned with. ” According to Stanfield, “ this character that you ’ve seen is a character that I ’m surely not in line with and I surely do n’t believe those effects. ”

Atlanta star LaKeith Stanfield says he would like to play the part of a homosexual man. During an interview with The Hollywood journalist, the actor revealed that his high academy drama class helped to broaden his outlook.

“ I ’m really demoralized by the fact that people are being affected by it, ” Stanfield told BuzzFeed News, “ that people are feeling sad or wrathfulness or any of these negative passions about the effects I ’ve done, because that was n’t my intention at each, to hurt people. ”
Stanfield’s star has risen since getting a regular on FX’s Atlanta and appearing in Jordan Peele‘s horror film Get Out. He’s also starring in Sorry to Bother You, directed by thrills Riley, set for release coming month.
He told BuzzFeed News he’s notanti-gay, citing his part in the 2018 drama Come Sunday, in which he played a gay character named Reggie.
