Several news sources say that Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker‘s first child together is a boy.

The Blink-182 singer had already said that they were going to name their son Rocky Thirteen while they were talking about Kourtney’s due date. He said on the show One Life One Chance, “It’s either Halloween or the first week of November.”

Travis said the name makes him think of Rocky George, the guitarist for the band Suicidal Tendencies, and the movie Rocky from 1976.

The new baby joins Kourtney’s three kids from her relationship with Scott Disick, who are 13 years old (Mason), 11 years old (Penelope), and 8 years old (Reign). Travis’s children are Landon Barker (20) and Alabama Barker (17), who he shares with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. He is also the stepfather of Atiana De La Hoya (24).

Before the baby came, Kourtney and Travis, who got married in May 2022, made it clear that they wanted to add to their already large family. Their path to having a child was even shown on The Kardashians. The founder of Poosh gave an honest account of the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process. In an April 2022 episode, she said, “It hasn’t been the most amazing experience.” She also said that the medicine she was taking at the time had the “complete opposite reaction” of what she wanted. “Something is wrong with me. Kourtney stopped IVF in the end because it was beginning to hurt her body. In a May 2023 show, she said, “We would love a baby more than anything, but I just really believe in what God has in store for us.” “If that’s a baby, then I believe that it will happen.”

As planned, Kourtney told everyone at a Blink-182 show on June 16 that she was pregnant. She held up a sign that said “Travis I’m Pregnant,” which was also a reference to the band’s “All the Small Things” music video.

A week later, at a sex reveal party with a concert theme, the pair told everyone that they were going to have a boy. There was an Instagram video on June 24 that showed Kourtney sitting on the rock star’s lap behind a drum kit while blue confetti and streamers shot out of a gun.

The next month, they were already coming up with names.

“I like Rocky Thirteen,” the 47-year-old told Alabama in an interview. “That’s the name I’ve been thinking about lately.” “Rocky George played guitar for Suicidal Tendencies,” he said when asked why. “And 13 is just the greatest number of all time.”

There have been some bumps in the road, though.

In September, Kourtney had to go to the hospital for an emergency baby surgery, which caused a lot of stress for her family. Travis flew back to California from France, where he was on tour at the time.

“I will always be grateful to my amazing doctors for saving our baby’s life,” Kourtney said on September 6 after the surgery. She was then told to stay in bed until she gave birth. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock.” Kourtney Kardashian: Spotted Having Leisure Time In Santa Barbara As She Dons A Leggy Pyjama Set! “As someone who has had three very easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t ready for the fear of having to rush into urgent fetal surgery,” she said. That fear is something that I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through it can even begin to understand.

So much so that she said it showed her “a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn’t know about.”

In October, she told Vogue, “It was scary.” “After, I found out that most insurance plans only pay for two ultrasounds during pregnancy. I had no idea.” It was one of those extra ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life. I’ve always been able to keep my insurance costs low.

She said that moment would not ruin the rest of her trip, though. “I’ve finally been able to let go of the fear and worry that everybody else put in us because of this pregnancy,” she said. “I’m ready to go in, have the baby, and have the experience we’re meant to have.”

That meant keeping your attention on the baby.

For Vogue, she said, “I’ve never had a birth plan before.” “I made up and shaved my legs because I was so cold when Mason’s water broke.” I still don’t have a birth plan for this time. All I know is that I’ll keep telling the baby, “Everything is going to be amazing.””
