In Hollywood, there’s a new young fashion star. Sunday night at the Oscars, Keira Knightley wore a one-shoulder, wine-colored gown by Vera Wang that was a great mix of funky youth and movie-star glamour.
Knightley wore her strawberry blonde hair in a loose ponytail. To go with the dress, she wore a one-of-a-kind necklace with emeralds, rubies, and diamonds from the Bulgari archives and gold sandals with multiple ankle straps by Jimmy Choo.
Her make-up artist, Kate Lee, said that she wanted to give the 20-year-old an “iconic and classic” look. Lee said that she used steel and charcoal eye colors from Chanel but kept the rest of the makeup light to show that Knightley was young.
